I'm a mum of two girls, two dogs, and a wife. I work full-time and I'm currently working on my Bachelor of Social Work -- I can't wait to get that out of the way!

I wasn't always a fitness lover; in fact, I never imagined that would be my "thing". But after having my second child, during whose pregnancy I gained a whopping 84 pounds and let myself go, I hit rock bottom and didn't know what to do. Incidentally (or fatefully, I think ;) ) I saw an add for a Canadian fitness trainer doing a 28-day fitness and nutrition challenge for free and decided that I had nothing to lose but this body that had become my prison. So I joined.

Needless to say, my eyes were opened to a whole new world. I suddenly knew how to eat properly and knew WHAT I was putting in my stomach, what that food was doing to my body, and I quickly discovered that I have an insatiable love for lifting HEAVY. Now, I'm no power lifter, and my little 5' nothing stature does make some things a bit more challenging (gym machines? Not much is short people friendly; but I figured it out). Soon, I had a collection of dumbbells, plates,  and my husband gifted me a squat rack and Bowflex. I had my own home gym; and there was no more excuse!

I joined a longer challenge afterwards, having found a whole new, iron-pumping me, and I found myself wanting to help others find their inner strength and glow because I know just how much joy it brings me, and I couldn't keep it to myself! I looked into becoming a personal trainer, but life got in the way, and that was put on the back-burner.  Two years later, well, look at me now, 'Ma! ;)

As a firm believer in positive mindset, a holistic approach to health, nutrition, and fitness, and most of all, being KIND and PATIENT with yourself, and being the kind of person who knows that you CAN have your piece of cake and eat it too -- in moderation -- and still make good gains, it really doesn't matter what ammo you choose. All fitness and workout types have their place, and if your goal is to be strong and healthy, I'll be there to help you the way YOU want to help you earn the wins YOU want! The stage is yours, now, so let's take the leap TOGETHER!
